Hi there,
I'm Tom.
Back in March 2024, I decided to do something about children's safety online. As a computer teacher, I'm always interested in how tech is evolving and how much time kids spend on it.
As a parent and teacher, I've noticed that it's not always easy for adults to keep up with all the new apps and stuff kids are into. I worry about my own kids growing up in a world where they're on social media and gaming without knowing what they're doing. That's why I want to help.
I've learned that the best way to keep kids safe online is to understand the apps they're using. If they know we get it, they're more likely to talk to us if something goes wrong. Whether it's TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, or any other app, it's up to us adults to help children navigate this digital world. Just checking privacy settings or ratings isn't enough; we need to be involved and make sure they feel comfortable talking to us about what they're doing online.
I hope you find helpful tips and info on this site. The online world changes fast, but I'm here to help you keep up.
